Geocaching also called GPS scavenger hunt is a type of electronic treasure hunt or scavenger hunt.
The Hide ("geocaches" or short "cache") are published on the basis of geographical coordinates on
the World Wide Web and can be found then use a GPS receiver. With detailed maps, the search without
a GPS receiver is possible.
A geocache is usually a waterproof container, which contains a log book. Additionally can also be
different small barter items in a cache. Every visitor registers himself in the log book to document
his successful search. Then the geocache is hidden again at the point at which it was previously found.
The found is listed on the web site and the associated appropriate by photos. That way other people -
especially the "owner" - follow the events surrounding the geocache. Significantly during the entire
search and exchange process is that of other persons present, the project is not recognized and so the
